the story of the bath pouf...

well i found a pattern online for *making* a bath pouf -- crocheting a bath pouf. and i thought that it was just a great idea. it was made using kitchen cotton, so i got started and once it was done -- ta-da! here it is!

but in using it, i found it didn't lather up very well, and was rather scratchy on my skin! so, sadly, all the work was for naught, and i ended up going to the store to get one of the regular old bath poufs. it was a fun adventure, though!

Good job! In any case, it certainly looks like it should work....!

I can see how the lathering could definitely be a problem, but as for the itchiness, is it an exfoliating kind of scratchy, or just the annoying kind?

Wow! All that work, for a bath pouf? And then you don't even like it? You could wash it out, dry it and then give it to someone in a gift basket with body wash and stuff. Even if they don't like the pouf, they'll be so impressed with all the work you did, that it will score you extra points, right?

it was kind of exfoliating. but it kind of hurt, too!

I love bath poufs, but I hate when they are scratchy. Maybe your bath pouf could be converted into a fantastic kitty toy!

It is cute, too bad it is so scratchy.
