new trigger
i think i found out a new trigger today --i made a greek salad for dinner. including (of course) plenty of feta.
immediately after dinner, my migraine got worse.
they say to watch out for aged cheeses -- i think this proved the point. the only other food trigger i've found was chocolate.

i've heard this before, but was so glad to read it again on Karen's blog (Simply A Musing Blog).enjoy...
One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally he decided the animal was old and the well needed to be covered up anyway, it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.
He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement, he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well and was astonished at what he saw.
With every shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up.
Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and trotted off!
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up!
Shake it off and take a step up!

my graduation present!
i received my graduation present in the mail today!here it is:

basically, i'm totally in love with it. it is a present from my parents and my parents-in-law. i decided not to get any engravings, after much deliberation. wanted to go with simple elegance. :)

the blog has gotten a little dusty around the corners. it's been a busy week. i graduated from college last friday,
and spencer's family has been in town -- for my graduation, and also for his cousin's wedding yesterday. it has been busy busy. lots of fun.
tonight, we went to dinner with the grown-ups in the family. we got a general location and name of the restaurant over the phone. i asked spencer what it was called, as we drove up and down the block again. spencer said, niran shito. we're thinking it's a new japanese (or chinese or something) place we haven't heard of. finally we give up and call again. we're sitting in the parking lot, and his dad says, yes you should be right there. we're puzzled.
i look to the right, and see the sign for MI RANCHITO.
there it is.

8. i went to the water conservancy garden in south jordan today. it was SO fun. lots to learn, and many many beautiful plants. we had a date night w/ my parents and my sister and BIL.
